Hello, I am known as Yuna.
I'm a Final Fantasy Fan.
Like her..I have my mission!
Like her...I will do my very best and work hard to achieve my dream/mission.
So now I'm opening myself to venture into a new world where many have already been with this new foundland.
1. Put a pinch of salt in the water when hard boiling eggs to make them easier to peel..
2. Freeze a head of cabbage, then it will be ready to use for cabbage rolls. There is no need to boil the leaves.
3. Tip: Look for avocados that are firm, but yield to gentle pressure. If they are not quite ripe, place avocados in a paper bag, and let ripen at room temperature.
4. How-to for skinning tomatoes.
Drop tomatoes into a pan of boiling water for 20-30 seconds. Remove tomatoes from the water with a slotted spoon and plunge into a bowl of cold water. Nick the skin with the tip of a knife, it should peel off easily.
5. To make your own fried shallots, thinly slice 5-6 shallots and fry in hot oil for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Drain on absorbent kitchen paper and if not using immediately, store in a dry airtight container
6. Save the aluminium bags you get with your snacks and economy pack milk powder. Use them to keep vegetables in the fridge fresh for a longer period.
7. A way to cook minced meat without it getting lumpy. When you sauteing minced meat, the only way to remove the lumps during cooking is to break the mince up with a metal spoon as it cooks.
8. To make crispy cookies, add a little rice flour to the plain or self rising floor, or mix in a little bicarnobate of oda.
9. To get the most juice out of fresh lemons, bring them to room temperature & roll them under your palm against the kitchen counter before squeezing.
10. If you accidentally over-salt a dish while it's still cooking, drop in a peeled potato-it absorbs the excess salt for an instant "fix me up."
11. To thin a small portion of peanut butter, use orange juice. It makes it spread much easier and adds taste appeal.
